Our core philosophy is entirely focused on and set up to provide expert, loving, individual treatment through a fully integrated approach.
It emphasizes that anxiety, trauma, or depression and substance use often intertwine in complex ways that cannot be understood but can still be mitigated, and treatment must address all interrelated challenges simultaneously.
- 24/7 residential care and treatment, meaning patients receive “round the clock” care and support on a dedicated facility.
- Our facility is highly specialized in treating co-occurring mental health conditions (called dual diagnosis). A significant majority of inpatient patients struggle with a mental health condition like depression, anxiety, or PTSD alongside addiction and research situations have to be dealt with two individual yet linked plans of action and treatment.
- Our goal is to allow patients to fully focus all their time and energy on recovery of mind and body, beginning with medical stabilization, then healing from both addiction and mental health symptoms both in the individual and repairing relationship damage.
Components of Inpatient Treatment
The program structure includes medical, psychological, and holistic elements delivered by a multidisciplinary care team of experts in medical care, mental health, addiction, marriage/family therapy, nutrition, fitness, and spirituality.
That can sound overwhelming, but each piece is delivered to the level required in each moment through a carefully constructed individual care package.
Medical & Clinical Care Basics
1. Medical Stabilization and Detox:
Care starts with safe medical stabilization and detoxification, which can include elements of voluntary drug testing – usually urine drug testing.
2. Integrated Mental Health Therapy:
Includes scheduled psychiatric visits and one-to-one sessions with both an addiction counselor and a mental health therapist.
3. Medication Management:
Ongoing support and monitoring for necessary medications with local and virtual appointments always available to discuss problems.
Daily Life & Structure When Resident
Patients live in a residence hall with others who share similar diagnoses or experiences. These housemates become trusted peers, helping navigating daily meals, lectures, wellness activities, and passing along the journey together.
This may sound like a pressurized environment but we ensure space and respect are maintained at all times, with plenty of private sessions and personal privacy when needed. You are always in control.
Residents are supported in establishing healthy new routines, which includes building structure around sleep, nutrition, physical activity, and personal hygiene – all crucial elements of sustainable change.
Daily lectures and workshops provide patients with real-world tools for managing stress, triggers, and cravings outside of treatment.
Led by trained professionals, these sessions offer a safe space for patients to share, receive feedback, and apply new perspectives, learning how to cope, and recovery skills for when things go wrong.
Private sessions with highly trained specialist counselors and therapists help patients gain insight, guidance, and tools to address personal challenges and advance their treatment goals.
After initial stabilization and recovery we will discuss your options, including our outpatient drug recovery services.
We Use Real-World Therapies
Our clinic uses effective, evidence-based treatment practices, which are tailored to the individual patient’s needs. These therapies include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET)
- Twelve Step Facilitation (standard practice)
- Medication-Assisted Therapies (MAT)
- Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (CBT-M)
- Psychoeducational Groups
- Contingency Management/Motivational Incentives
Your tailored recovery program will combine elements of all of the above in most circumstances, alongside a group and individual elements and learning skills so that you can implement both structure and elements of the therapies provided on your own.
Logistics & Family Involvement
The length of treatment is not a fixed 28 days or any other fixed length of time. Instead, it is personalized and based on the patient’s specific clinical milestones.
The care team works with the patient, family, and insurance provider to determine the best treatment plan and timetable. This may include breaks in the program should personal commitments outside the unavoidable.
The program considers relationships with loved ones as central and essential to the healing process and has family participation built-in.
Services for families include:
- In-person and virtual family programs
- Support groups both online and outpatient
- Coaching and mental health counseling outpatient services
- Mobile app and information resources available 24/7
- Remote access to support team member available with some plans
We also understand that family members can be at the heart of the problems you are facing and we will sensitively work with you to ensure that you are not put in an uncomfortable situation or place back into an unsuitable environment.
Cost and Locations
Treatment cost varies based on location, level of care, and length of treatment. We are linked with most insurance providers, and most patients use their health insurance benefits to cover some or all elements of costs.
Inpatient Locations:
We have six dedicated inpatient locations in Colorado, California, Texas, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
Additionally, we also have teams who work remotely at third party venues in eight other locations across the USA – contact us to learn more about the closest provider location to you for inpatient services.
